ClarinetFest® 2002
Larry Guy

This presentation would be a re-discovery of the artistry of Daniel Bonade, through a discussion and presentation of his recorded legacy. It would include a short biographical sketch of the artist, including his accomplishments as a teacher, but would focus upon his recordings with the Philadelphia Orchestra (1917-1922 and 1924-1930) and the Cleveland Orchestra (1933-1940). Elements of his playing to be discussed would include his tone, legato, finger technique, articulation, and singing style. Each excerpt played would be preceded by a short explanation/discussion. Excerpts to be included in the presentation would include:

The excerpts will be on DAT format. I will bring my DAT machine, but would need a good amplifier with speakers to hook it into.
