ClarinetFest® 2010
ClarinetFest® 2010 is offering a special opportunity for Texas high school clarinetists. Saturday July 24 is designated as High School Day at ClarinetFest®. There will be a number of events, including a clinic on the All-State etudes (before they are announced at the Texas Bandmasters Association) at 10:00 a.m. in Jessen Auditorium. Students may attend all of the events on Saturday, which include the finals of the I.C.A. competitions, masterclasses, exhibits, pedagogy presentations, recitals by world class artists, and the evening gala concert, which features soloists with orchestra in Bass Hall on the UT campus. The cost for the day is $30.00, which includes a one-year student membership in the International Clarinet Association. Current student members of I.C.A. may attend for $5.00.
The student registration rate for the entire five-day conference is $125.00. Please note that I.C.A. membership is required. For more information about membership costs and benefits, please click here.
This is truly an extraordinary opportunity for high school students. Please encourage your students to attend this unique event and take advantage of clinics by outstanding teachers, performance by international artists, and the opportunity to visit the leading clarinet manufacturers in the exhibit area.
