Los Angeles, California, USA
August 3-7, 2011
ClarinetFest® 2011 will be held on the campus of California State University, Northridge and California Institute of the Arts and is co-sponsored by the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication at CSUN with significant contributions from the Herb Alpert School of Music at California Institute of the Arts. The conference takes place in Northridge, a suburb of Los Angeles, and is close to the Pacific Ocean, many theme parks and beautiful mountains and hiking areas. The new Valley Performing Arts Center (opening in Spring 2011) on the campus of CSUN will be featured, which provides an ideal location for this event.
If you are interested in sending in a presentation proposal, please download and complete the Call-for-Proposals Application Form and send to the address below. Recordings and written requests will be accepted through October 15, 2011 and will be reviewed by the committee. While all proposals will be given due consideration, ClarinetFest® 2011 is especially interested in featuring works written in the past 20 years and works that have not previously been presented at a ClarinetFest®. In addition, only proposals by members of the International Clarinet Association will be considered.
